Rob Kulathinal

Dr. Rob Kulathinal is an evolutionary genomicist at Temple University. His lab studies how rapid evolutionary processes generate the remarkable patterns of diversity in populations and species. Dr. Kulathinal further investigates the role of rapid evolutionary dynamics on a variety of biological pheneomena, from the effects of anthropogenic distress on deep sea habitats to the rapid proliferation of cancer due to ancestry. Dr. Kulathinal is also developing an "evolutionary sciences of the artificial" based on his interest in detecting evolutionary signals from all types of "big" digital data—whether biological, technological, or social.
