Police Data Transparency Community Feedback Session

As part of Baltimore Innovation Week (BIW) 2016, you are invited to partner with the Baltimore Police Department for the City of Baltimore’s Police Data Transparency Community Feedback Session where community members, police officers, and city technical staff will sit side-by-side, roll up their sleeves and dive into the Baltimore Police Department’s beta release of Project Comport.

The Baltimore Police Department has been working for the past year to figure out ways to improve the relationship and trust with the community by opening up and sharing information. Soon, our new website will have a section dedicated solely to transparency; part of the page will include several new data sets. At BPD, we have come to recognize that transparency is not just putting out data, but rather providing data that is useful to the community. We are eager to get your feedback on how this data can be even more useful to the public. Come out and be part of our new movement toward using data to increase trust and collaboration with our communities to build a safer Baltimore!
