2016 Battle O' Baltimore FIRST Robotics Competition

The 10th annual Battle O' Baltimore is an off-season FIRST robotics competition hosted by the Baltimore Area Alliance teams. This event allows new team members a chance to experience a friendly competition before the new build and competition season starts in January 2017.

Come meet the teams of teenagers and watch the action. Witness the ethos of “Gracious Professionalism” where the students learn to build robots and compete like crazy, but treat each other with respect and kindness.

GAME: The game is "FIRST Stronghold." The atmosphere is part rock concert - part sporting competition - part NASCAR with 120-lb robots breaching defenses and launching “boulders” with the help of their human players and robot alliance partners.

There will also be demos of the other FIRST programs: FIRST LEGO League Junior (FLL-JR) ages 6-9; FIRST LEGO League (FLL) ages 9-14; & FIRST TECH Challenge (FTC) grades 7-12.

WHO: All ages welcome.

TOUR: A 30-minute "FIRST Stop" behind-the-scenes tour will be available to all Baltimore Innovation Week attendees.
